Road Speed Limits

  • 50km/h - Side streets inside of towns & cities.
  • 70km/h - Main roads inside of towns and cities.
  • 90km/h - Built up residential areas outside of towns and cities.
  • 120km/h - Main roads outside of towns and cities.

 

Section 1.0
Vehicle Laws

  • 1.1 - 1V - Parking illegally will result in a verbal warning on the first offence. The second offence will result in the vehicle being impounded.
  • 1.2 - 2V - Illegally performing a U-Turn will result in a verbal warning on the first offence. The second offence will result in the vehicle being impounded.
  • 1.3 - 3V - Driving without turning your headlights on at night will result in a verbal warning on the first offence. The second offence will result in the driver being issued a ticket. And the third offence will result in the vehicle being impounded.
  • 1.4 - 4V - Failing to yield for an emergency vehicle will result in a verbal warning on the first offence. The second offence will result in the driver being issued a ticket. And the third offence will result in the vehicle being impounded.
  • 1.5 - 5V - Driving recklessly will result in the driver being issued a ticket. The second offence will result in the vehicle being impounded.
  • 1.6A - A6V - Attempting to break into a vehicle not belonging to you will result in the you being issued a ticket. The second offence will result in the you being arrested.
  • 1.6 - 6V - Breaking into a vehicle not belonging to you will result in the you being issued a ticket. The second offence will result in the you being arrested.
  • 1.7 - 7V - Driving a go-kart on the main road will result in vehicle being impounded. The second offence will result in the vehicle being impounded and the driver receiving a ticket. The third offence will result in the driver being arrested.
  • 1.8 - 8V - Driving a go-kart without a helmet will result in vehicle being impounded. The second offence will result in the vehicle being impounded and the driver receiving a ticket. The third offence will result in the driver being arrested.
  • 1.18 - Large Goods Vehicles seen parked or driving around a major city will be susceptible to a random stop and search by the Police.
